In support of their first album in nearly two decades, the British quartet Swervedriver returns to the States. Elements of kaleidoscopic indie rock and a firm shoegaze foundation constitute the group’s sophisticated sound. After releasing four records in the ‘90s, Swervedriver disbanded for nearly 10 years before reuniting in 2008 to take up touring again. I Wasn’t Born To Lose You, dropped in March of this past year, marks the only new music from the band since its hiatus. The band are performing on Sept. 5 at Bowery Ballroom as part of its latest full U.S. tour.
