Preservation Hall Jazz Band: Preserving Jazz’s Bright Future

One of the most storied traveling jazz acts in America will be performing on the East Coast throughout August. After celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2012, Preservation Hall Jazz Band released their latest album That’s It! in 2013. Named for a venue in their home city of New Orleans, the group celebrates the rich tradition of the Big Easy and the storied history of incredible jazz musicians that come from the area. The group will play Aug. 1 at the Musikfest Café in Bethlehem, PA, Aug. 4 at the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn, Aug. 12 at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, and Aug. 15 at the Levoy Theatre in Millville.
