To celebrate the release of their latest record, Double Exposure, D. Charles Speer & The Helix will be leaving their neck of the woods of Brooklyn and head to the New Jersey suburbs when they play Trans Pecos on March 6 in Ridgewood. Speer was born and raised in Georgia but moved to New York City in the early ’90s to pursue his musical dream, and he quickly became involved in the experimental rock scene. Double Exposure marks the group’s eighth album together and they plan to spend the majority of the year touring.
