After releasing his debut album, Big Inner, last year, folk artist Matthew E. White decided to create a follow-up EP that would be included in a special edition of his record, titled Big Inner: Outer Face Edition. The writing process consisted of the Richmond, Virginia-based artist isolating himself from the outside world in a friend’s lake house and writing five additional songs. In support of his extended disc, the artist will be heading north to play the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on Dec. 5 as well as Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia the next night on Dec. 6.
