The Yardbirds are back and are about to embark on a U.S. tour. The Yardbirds rose to fame in the 1960s in the U.K. and were a part of the British Invasion. Having launched the careers of Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, the band broke up in 1968, only to resurface in 1992. Current members include Johnny A, Myke Scavone, John Idan, and former bassist for Bob Dylan and Billy Idol, Kenny Aaronson. The band will kick off their U.S. tour at The Strand in Lakewood, NJ on Oct. 7. They will also be performing at B.B. King Blues Club And Grill in New York City on Oct. 11 and Lucille’s, which is located inside of B.B. King Blues Club and Grill, on Oct. 14.
