From Los Angeles by way of Nashville, The Wild Feathers wear their geographic influences on their sleeves. Their songs feature a mix of 21st century Southern rock a la Kings Of Leon and ‘70s California rock not unlike the Eagles. They’ve got a new album coming out later this year called Lonely Is A Lifetime and it is packed with high-energy jams. Supporting The Wild Feathers on their tour are The Shelters, also hailing from California, who have a similarly retro feel but take their cues from most notably Eric Burdon and The Animals. Their as yet unreleased new album features production from the great Tom Petty. Catch this pair of California bands as they play The Bowery Ballroom on April 28 and The Foundry At The Fillmore in Philadelphia on April 30.
