Perhaps you haven’t heard of singer-songwriter Mike Edel, but that is likely soon to change, as Edel is currently a rising star in the indie folk world. Fans of David Gray and Wilco will fall in love with Edel’s unique brand of folk pop, as well as his crisp voice. His lyrics are both articulate and emotive, drawing from specific personal experiences. His third and latest album, India, Seattle, came out last year and deftly blends together these elements, resulting in what many are calling his most mature work to date. Edel recently announced his first tour dates of 2016, which begin in the Midwest and carry him to the East Coast, where he’ll make his New York debut at The Bowery Electric on March 2 and also playing at Tin Angel in Philadelphia on March 4.
