Canadian hard rockers, The Trews, may not be a familiar name to many on this side of the border, but in their homeland they’ve experienced great success with their five studio albums and 16 Top 10 singles. Additionally, their latest self-titled record came out in April of last year and debuted at No. 3 on the Canadian albums chart. And although their biggest stateside hit might be “So She’s Leaving” from Den Of Thieves, which came out in 2005, new cuts like “Rise In The Wake” and “What’s Fair Is Fair” boast driving anthemic choruses that are nearly impossible not to headbang along with. The Trews are currently touring the states before they depart on Rock Boat Cruise XVI in mid-February alongside Gavin DeGraw, Jukebox The Ghost, and many more. You can catch them, without having to set sail, at Mercury Lounge on Jan. 20 and MilkBoy on Jan. 21.
