Minnesota-based jazz blues band Davina And The Vagabonds are creating not only music but also an unmistakable dreamlike atmosphere with their talented instrumentals and soulful vocals. Lead singer Davina Sower’s voice is impressive to say the least, almost Amy Winehouse-esque with round, full deep tones. Musically they feature trumpets, piano, ukulele, drums and upright bass; they really showcase their talents with a balanced set to carry the vocals and wonderful lyrics, which are catchy and fun to listen to. Their album Sunshine, released in 2014 via Roustabout Records, features 12 songs that really show their range from upbeat to slow ballads. Davina And The Vagabonds will be performing on Nov. 5 in NYC at Lucille’s at B.B. King Blues Club, on Nov. 6 and 7 in Cape May, NJ at Exit 0 International Jazz Festival, Nov. 10 in Sellersville, PA at Sellersville Theater, Nov. 13 in Tuckerton, NJ at The Lizzie Room Music Room, and Nov. 14 in New Hope, PA at Triumph Brewing Company.
