American rock singer/songwriter and American Idol winner David Cook released his fourth studio album, Digital Vein, via Analog Heart Music, on Sept. 18. Cook’s album has a lot to offer like emotive lyrics and warm vocals with complexity and heart. “Home Movies,” in particular, is moving, as it is dedicated to Cook’s brother who passed away from brain cancer in 2009. “You’ll never get any older, any memory come and gone, I can’t believe it’s been so long,” is touching and helps give his music more depth. “Criminals” gives Cook an opportunity to showcase his rock side with the guitar work that keeps the track balanced while still putting his unique spin on the genre. He will be performing on Nov. 7 in NYC at the Gramercy Theatre, on Nov. 8 in Newton, NJ at the Newton Theatre, and on Nov. 10 in Bethlehem, PA at Musikfest Café at Steel Stacks.
