Doom metal and psychedelic rock are hardly the genres you’d expect to hear from a band straight out of England—a country with tea time and delicate finger sandwiches served in the afternoon. But, of course, there are always surprises, like Led Zeppelin of the ‘70s. Now, in 2015, we’re graced with the hardcore group, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats. Heavy chords outweigh the vocals—an unusual take on the musical pyramid, but it suits them perfectly. And, with their fourth studio album, The Night Creeper, out this month, they’ve gained quite a following. Don’t miss these guys as they swing by on Sept. 12 for a gig at Webster Hall and then Union Transfer in Philadelphia on Sept. 13.
