MONTCLAIR, NJ—Breaking Benjamin continued their tour with a stop at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair. With English band Young Guns as their opening act, the show was packed with good vibes and nonstop energy.
Young Guns got the crowd hyped as they opened the show with their single “I Want Out.” They played songs from their albums Bones and All Our Kings Are Dead. The band finished their set with another popular single, “Bones,” leaving the crowd pumped and ready.
Breaking Benjamin soon took the stage to a crowd of eager and excited fans. The energy during their opening hit, “So Cold,” set the precedent for what was to come. The crowd head banged through songs like “Follow,” “Break My Fall” and their latest single, “Failure.” The band also dedicated “Unknown Soldier” to those serving our country.
During a short break, the group remained on stage to pass out water bottles to fans. Frontman Benjamin Burnley personally handed a water bottle as well as a fist bump to a young girl at the front of the crowd, sitting on her father’s shoulders. The band also didn’t spare any guitar picks, as they frequently threw them out into the crowd throughout the show.
The show continued with covers like Metallica’s “Through The Never” and a mash-up of “Imperial March/Schism/Smells Like Teen Spirit/Walk.” The set concluded with crowd favorite “I Will Not Bow.” However, they came back with an encore performance of “The Diary Of Jane.”
Breaking Benjamin have been touring throughout the States including festivals like Rock On The Range and Pointfest. The band recently released their new album, Dark Before Dawn, in June and will continue to tour through July.
