Well-seasoned bands Smash Mouth, Toad The Wet Sprocket, and Tonic begin their trek this summer, joining forces for a celebratory tour—and these guys definitely have something to celebrate. Smash Mouth just celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2014 and are ready to show their loyal—and new—fans their new stuff; a new love album is in the works and will be released through Sony. TTWS are getting in on the mischief, too. They are not only celebrating 30 years together, but their 25th anniversary since their album, fear, reached platinum in ’91 as well. And they, too, have new material out; in 2013, they released their album New Constellations to show fans that they’re still cooking. To complete the trio, Tonic are hopping on board, coming up to their 20th anniversary. While they are working on new material as a group, they have also been busy with personal projects. Emerson Hart, the band’s singer/songwriter, took the time in 2014 to experiment with a solo career while his bandmate, Jeff Russo, dove into the glamorous business as a writer and producer with Dan Lavery of Fargo and CSI. These guys have been around, which guarantees an unforgettable concert at The Grand in Atlantic City on July 18.
