The Asbury Park Surf Music Festival is making a comeback for more fun in New Jersey. This year is packed with bands and entertainment; to name a few, The Fathoms, Night Birds, The Coffin Daggers, Blue Wave Theory, and the Atomic Mosquitos will be there, ready to rock on July 11, rain or shine. These bands and many more are setting out to get in on the summer venues, and set to celebrate. New York instrumental/surf rock band, The Coffin Daggers, are seasoned musicians and have been playing since 1999. The ‘60s-inspired band has continued to produce new albums: their most recent, Monsters From The ID, made its way to stores in 2012—10 years after their debut, self-titled record. Blue Wave Theory, a New Jersey band, is set to perform at home after last year’s release of some new material for Sympathy For The Reverb, an album dedicated to surf rock. The surf rock group Atomic Mosquitos prove to be not only good musicians but comedians; these guys can be seen performing in mosquito masks, living up to their name. These guys and many more bands will appear at Asbury Lanes, set to haul in a good time.
