Montreal-based band The Barr Brothers are playing Boot & Saddle in Philadelphia on Nov. 19 and the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on Nov. 21. They’re riding on the wake of their new album, Sleeping Operator, which was released early last month. It marks the second major journey into musical experimentation for the band, which is extremely evident when folk meets indie meets Debussy in this whirlwind of an album. They’ve been featured on The Late Show With David Letterman, shared the stage with The National, and headlined the Montreal Jazz Festival, playing to over 50,000 people.
