SOHO, NY—Blondie founder Chris Stein held court at the Morrison Hotel Gallery/Dream Hotel art opening where he showcased his photos taken of the band from within the eye of the hurricane of their ’70s heyday. Pictures adorned the walls showing a relaxing Debbie Harry, who showed at the opening, at ease and posing for her then-boyfriend Stein.
The picture of Harry reclining against a ’70s era gas guzzler in a seductive pose screams out to the indulgences of a long-gone era. A nod and a wink on tour from an airplane runway from Harry was another gem.
Photographer Bob Gruen joined in on the festivities along with Stein, Harry and Morrison Hotel owner Peter Blachley for a great night of pictures and rockin’ tunes.
