Stone Jack Jones, a Nashville-based country musician, goes against the grain and sings melancholic, heart-wrenching songs about his life of wandering. His latest album, Ancestor, was produced by Roger Moutenot, who worked with bands like Yo La Tengo. It deals with the sadness of life, as well as the hardships of coal miners, of which he is a descendent. He will be performing as part of the Nashville, With Love And Torture tour, which includes groups like LYLAS, Wooden Wand and Coupler. They will be playing on May 21 at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and on May 22 at the Mercury Lounge.
