Cass McCombs wrote and recorded his most recent album, The Big Wheel And Others, while traveling between New York and San Francisco. His nomadic nature gives his music a bucolic, folk rock sound. He has toured with acts such as Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire, as well as had his song, “Bobby, King Of Boy’s Town,” played on the HBO show Girls. His debut record, A, was released in 2003, and he has put out six more since then. He will be performing at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg on May 22 and at Underground Arts in Philadelphia on May 24.
