Charlie Daniels, at 77, still tours at a rate of men one-third his age. This Southern rock icon will bring his band to the State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania, on March 28. Never content to rest upon his considerable past laurels, his new album, Off The Grid: Doin’ It Dylan, due in April, is a tribute to the man on whose Nashville Skyline he played on as a session guy 45 years ago. “Bob Dylan had a lot to do with me finally doing my own music,” Charlie told this reporter just prior to the new tour. “He changed everything more than any artist I know of. He changed the whole infrastructure of the music industry.”
