Amy Helm And The Handsome Strangers: Like Father, Like Daughter

Amy Helm, daughter of The Band’s late drummer Levon Helm, followed in her parents’ footsteps and became a musician. In addition to singing a mix of blues and gospel, she plays the mandolin and drums as well. She will release her first solo album later this year, and will tour with her accompanying group, The Handsome Strangers. Amy Helm will perform on March 15 at The Shea Center For Performing Arts on the William Patterson University Campus in Wayne.
