Bagpipes with attitude? Scottish drums? It’s actually the Red Hot Chilli Pipers coming to the State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 20, an octet of guitars, keyboards, drummers and yes, pipers, fresh off tours from China to Australia after graduating from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. The traditional tunes—“Flowers Of Scotland,” “Hills Of Argyll,” “Amazing Grace”—are juxtaposed with bagpipe versions of Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” Coldplay’s “Clocks,” Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” Robbie Williams’ “Let Me Entertain You,” Deep Purple’s “Smoke On The Water” and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.”
