Scottish band Alestorm will be bringing their brand of folk-infused metal to the area when they take over The Studio At Webster Hall in New York City on Dec. 2 before coming to New Jersey to play Mexicali Live on Dec. 3. The group, which is lovingly referred to by fans as “true Scottish pirate metal,” formed in 2004, originally calling themselves Battleheart. They signed to Napalm Records a few years later and took on their new (and current) name. Their most recent studio album, Back Through Time, was released in 2011.
