Berlin-based composer Nils Frahm took two years recording his sixth solo studio album, Spaces, which was released earlier this week. The disc was recorded at a series of venues to try capturing the true essence of his live gigs, even choosing to include tracks where there are audible audience disruptions, like ringing cell phones and coughing. He is also well known for his many musical collaborations, most recently with Arcade Fire’s Sarah Neufeld. The composer will be celebrating the release of Spaces in New York City with a special show at Le Poisson Rouge on Nov. 25.
