Painter and Bloody Panda frontwoman Yoshiko Ohara is bringing acts from north and south on Oct. 26 for a gig at The Acheron in Brooklyn. Up from Maryland are ultra-stoner riffers Weed Is Weed, while coming down from Toronto are avant creepers Godstopper, who have a new 7” out. With NYC blackened metal outfit Imperial Triumphant rounding out the show, it’s a diverse lineup that all has one sure thing in common: Volume. Ohara’s new solo album, Ringing In Our Wrists, is available now on Ice Level Music, the imprint helmed by Toby Driver of Kayo Dot—which is a long way of saying “Very artsy, very loud.” Right on.
