Frontman of YOB and about as close to a shaman as a dude who plays doom is likely to get, Eugene, Oregon’s Mike Scheidt is heading east for a round of shows alongside Uzala and Mount Salem. Scheidt has reportedly been working on a follow-up to his 2012 Thrill Jockey solo debut, Stay Awake, so the chances of catching some new material live are pretty good as he and Uzala roll through St. Vitus in Brooklyn on Oct. 21 and Kung Fu Necktie in Philly on Oct. 25, where the three-band bill will also be joined by cultists Heavy Temple.
