North Jersey Notes Updates: She Said Fire, Panzie*, Apostrophes and More!

Congrats to the gang from She Said Fire. Josh Hawksley and crew will be direct support for The Used on their upcoming tour, a band that Josh and his bandmates claim as one of their favorite bands of all time! Now that is pretty cool getting a chance to open for one of your all-time favorites on tour, which kicks off next week. This is just more proof that hard work does pay off sometimes. Check out She Said Fire at facebook.com/shesaidfire.

My bros from Panzie* have a new music video out for their song “Rise.” The video is such an awesome throwback to the ‘80s MTV video days when they actually used to play videos. Oh, yeah! The song “Rise” kicks ass too! Check it out at Panzie.com.

The boys from Apostrophes have released a new single. The song is called “Left Behind,” and it’s excellent! Singer Francisco Paz sounds amazing on this track and the harmonies are dead-on! You have to check this out! Give “Left Behind” a listen now at reverbnation.com/ap0str0phes.

My NYC metal bros, Anaka, have a great show lined up in a couple of weeks at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC. They’ll be opening for some Jersey Boys, Ill Nino, on Oct. 20. If I’m not mistaken, this is the first time we’ll be seeing Ill Nino in quite some time too. This show should not be missed! For more info, log onto facebook.com/ANAKAmetal.

North Jersey music scene vet Jack Frost and his band Seven Witches will be releasing a new CD this month called Rebirth. The last time that I heard from Seven Witches, Alan Tecchio was singing for them, but it seems Jack Frost is back with a power-packed lineup including singer Anthony Cross, Ronnie Parkes from Cleavage and FarCry, and former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly. Seven Witches will be celebrating the release of Rebirth with a show at Dingbatz on Oct. 18 with Black Water Rising opening. This is going to be a great show too! Speaking of Black Water Rising, they have some big shows coming up opening for my bro Rex Brown and his band Kill Devil Hill. So, keep your ears peeled for that. For more on Seven Witches, log onto sevenwitchesofficial.com.

And finally, my bro Don Jamieson from That Metal Show will be bringing his acoustic death metal band Gunfire ‘N’ Sodomy to Tenth Street Live in Kenilworth this Saturday night with some more of my bros, Sekond Skyn, opening. This should be a fun night so go out and support some local music this weekend! Check out Don’s band at facebook.com/pages/Gunfire-N-Sodomy/166271016722248 and Sekond Skyn at facebook.com/second.skyn.1.

That’s all for now! If your band is from North Jersey, and you want some exposure, send your press kits to Arts Weekly, c/o Tim Louie P.O. Box 1140, Little Falls, NJ 07424, or you can email me at tim@theaquarian.com, where you can also let me know where you’re performing next!

Just remember….We’re all in the same boat, so every little bit of exposure counts!
