At the end of last month, country artist Robbie Fulks released his latest LP, Gone Away Backwards, on Bloodshot Records, marking his 10th studio album. Over the course of his career, Fulks has become known for pairing his bluegrass sound with refreshing, brutally honest subject matter. The record gains inspiration from his upbringing in rural Pennsylvania and how the American small town is becoming more of a rarity than ever. Fulks will be performing at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on Sept. 18 and again at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA on Sept. 28.
