Sponge, best known for the ’90s anthems “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles),” will take the stage at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch on Sept. 5. The famed Detroit-based band recently signed with The End Records to release their seventh full-length album, Stop The Bleeding, which will be their first LP since 2007’s Galore Galore. This does not mean that they have slowed down, however, as they released an EP titled Destroy The Boy in 2010 and spent the summer on this year’s Summerland tour alongside Everclear and Filter.
