To get an understanding of what Southern Hospitality are all about, one only needs to look at their name. The trio of talented musicians from all around the South encompasses much of what is good about music below the Mason-Dixon line: expert slide guitar, dizzying boogie piano work, and a classic blues rock sensibility that is reminiscent of the genre’s biggest. Their debut LP, Easy Livin’, out on Blind Pig Records, is a strong showcase of the skill that these three Southern gentlemen have with their respective instruments. They will be playing The Cutting Room on Aug. 7 and NJ’s Somers Point Beach on Aug. 9.
