Hailing from Ubeda, Spain, Guadalupe Plata take their name from the Virgin patron of their town. Because they live in three different cities, the band rarely has time to rehearse and their live performances are usually transformed in front of the audience. That said, the group has a unique way of creating groovy beats with melodic and bluesy riffs while on stage, which can be best described as hip-swaying. To support their recent self-titled release, they will be coming to Brooklyn on June 20 to play the Cameo Gallery.
