Charlie Mars: That’s How He Rolls

Charlie Mars is distinct among singer-songwriters, lauded for both his confessional storytelling and his immediately catchy, soulful grooves. The Mississippi native’s songs have been praised by the press, and his recent single, “How I Roll,” was featured on the tv series Weeds. In support of his latest album, Blackberry Light, Mars is setting out on a solo acoustic tour, with intimate shows that promise to capture his work’s unique personality. He will play at The Saint in Asbury Park June 12, Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 2) in NYC June 14, Drew’s House in Ringwood June 15 and Tin Angel in Philly June 16.
