Philadelphia natives Grandchildren generate a folk pop electronic feel on their new album, Golden Age, which was released May 7. Originally formed in 2008 by lead singer-songwriter Aleks Martray, what was meant to be a solo-project turned into a six-member indie rock orchestra, blending together electronic and earthy tones that can be closely compared to Animal Collective. Subsequent to Everlasting in 2010, Chris Powell from Man Man and Bill Moriarty produced Golden Age. In support of their sophomore effort, Grandchildren will be having a record release party May 15 at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn.
