With sparkling indie folk melodies to cradle the honest lyricism of leader Joshua Hanson, Yellow Red Sparks appeal to both the sentimental and the more theatrical. The California-based trio, who released their self-titled debut this January, are now bringing their soft yet powerful sound to audiences around the country. Their songs display small snippets of everyday life, emotionally-charged short stories that are simple and pure at heart. Yellow Red Sparks will be playing on May 16 at The Saint and May 17 at Union Hall.
