After releasing their debut record, 180, this past March, the UK group Palma Violets are headed to New York. Last year, the band released two singles—“Best Of Friends” and “Last Of The Summer Wine”—that embodied a new-wave feel with some British punk influences. Now, both songs are featured on their latest 11-track full-length that delivers the same alternative sound. Listeners of The Cure and The Smiths will likely be drawn towards 180. Palma Violets can be found May 9 at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn and May 10at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
