Cloud Cult: Grassroots With A Twist

The experimental chamber rock group Cloud Cult released their new full-length, Love, on March 5 and are currently on their spring tour. This marks the ninth release for the Midwest band. Their soft, upbeat tempo accompanied by the violin, cello, trumpet, trombone and French horn gives them a grassroots sound with a twist. Singer-songwriter Craig Minowa draws an emotional connection to the loss of his two-year-old son through his lyrics, a perfect example of which can be heard in “It’s Your Decision” off of Love. Cloud Cult will perform April 11 at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan and April 12 at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia.
