Crushed Out: Push Down & Twist

Brooklyn-based husband and wife duo Crushed Out make lean, mean garage and surf rock, propelled by the intrigue of funky hooks that hearken back to honky-tonk, blues, and classic rock and roll. Their first full-length record, the eruptive Want To Give, was released last November and has often been compared to the spare and gripping sound of The White Stripes, but not without their own touch. Crushed Out will perform at Shea Stadium, in Brooklyn, on Friday, March 22.
