The Ringers—a supergroup consisting of lauded improvisational guitarists Wayne Krantz and Jimmy Herring, prolific session guitarist Michael Landau, veteran drummer Keith Carlock, and celebrated jazz-fusion bass player Etienne Mbappe—united just this year, making for a very impressive collective resumé. Performing both the individuals’ solo material and new music written especially for the band, they bring together their expertise in the sounds of rock, funk, jazz, blues, and African music. They are currently on a limited East Coast tour and will perform at the B.B. King Blues Club on Feb. 22.
