Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring are currently out on their second headlining tour in support of last year’s debut album, Shrines. Their infectious sound, based around chopped drums, sparkling synths, and airy pop vocals, rides with the popularity of dubstep, witch house, and dream pop. A perfect companion to their the finely frenzied world of their music, their live show puts improvised instrumentals into their ecstatic pop hooks, coupling them with flashing lights and handmade costumes. Purity Ring will be at Webster Hall on Jan. 11 and 12, and Philly’s Union Transfer on Jan. 29.
