One of the most innovative rock acts of recent years, Dirty Projectors came onto the scene in 2002 with experimental and raw sounds that later grew to incorporate choral and orchestral elements. They have since collaborated with such influential figures as David Byrne and Björk, and continued to garner critical acclaim. Swing Lo Magellan, released in July 2012, is their seventh studio album and their most concise work to date, accessible without compromising their signature oddities. Dirty Projectors are playing at Carnegie Hall on Jan. 11.
