Long Island vocalist Dahna Bender is trying to bring some holiday cheer to those affected by Hurricane Sandy in the form of a Sandy Benefit Concert. The fundraising event, which is being hosted in partnership with the American Humane Association’s Red Star Animal Emergency Services, will feature performances from Frankie Negron, American Idol’s Karen Rodriguez, and many more. All proceeds will benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy, especially in the New Jersey area. Dahna Bender will also be releasing a holiday EP, Giving Of The Heart, which will go towards helping the affected as well. The EP will include six heartwarming tracks, not the least of which are “Silent Night,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Grownup Christmas List.” The event will take place at NYC’s Canal Room on Dec. 19.
