50 years ago, on Aug. 6, the island of Jamaica gained independence from the oppressive British rule. A quartet of talented and legendary artists will be celebrating this Independence Day by performing reggae, Jamaica’s heart and soul, at The Sounds Of Reggae concert in Brooklyn. These musicians—Shaggy, Ali Campbell’s UB40, Beres Hammond and Maxi Priest—boast legendary status along with an unnerving passion for reggae and Jamaica. Hear years of musical experience and lyrical genius come together on stage at the Barclays Center on Dec. 12.
