Chris Robinson and his former band The Black Crowes took a hiatus in 2002. During that time, he decided to create The Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Their latest album, Big Moon Ritual, was released in early June, with its companion, The Magic Door, soon to follow. To celebrate the first of two releases, they are playing The Stone Pony in Asbury Park on June 28 and the following night, they’ll be at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. With some psychedelic touches, a pinch of funky groove and a dose of rock, these men have refined their sound over the last few years. Look out for the second release in September.
