On June 16, American folk/rock group Dawes will be playing a free concert at Central Park SummerStage along with Kurt Vile And The Violators. Their 2011 release, Nothing Is Wrong, boosted the band’s popularity, and gave them a consistent touring schedule. Brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith have created a rock sound with gentle vocals and a country influence. Their music has been featured on NBC’s new show Parenthood and they continue to play large festivals such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The concert begins at 7 p.m. For more music and information, visit their website dawestheband.com.
