Eccentric singer-songwriter Brute Force will be playing at the Super Mega Show And Comic Fest in Whippany, NJ, on Saturday, June 9. As a young musician in 1967, Stephen Friedland shared the studio with Bob Dylan and even received the approval of John Lennon himself. In the same year, he released his debut album, I, Brute Force—Confections Of Love, with Columbia Records. This strangely wonderful compilation of sheer brilliance became one of the most talked about records of his time. The festival begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs into the night, concluding with Brute Force’s performance at 8 p.m. For ticket prices and more information, go to supermegashow.com.
