NYC’s The Commuters have traveled great distances to get where they are today (hence “The Commuters”). With frontman Zeeshan Zaidi and guitarist Uri Djemal both hailing from the Philippines, bassist Ben Zwerin from France and drummer Paul Amorese’s family from Italy, the group utilizes their different ethnic backgrounds to produce their unique sounds. They hope to release their debut album, Rescue, on April 17. That night, the group will hold a record release party at Fontana’s in the city. Tickets are $8 and the show starts at 8 p.m. Their single, “As I Make My Way” is out now.
