Before The Spring Standards were formed, each of the band’s members were a part of Old Springs Pike. They also played together in another group, The Urban Wombats. Now, New York’s triple threat is set to release their newest work. Yellow/Gold is a double disc record that covers a wide range of human emotions. It is characterized by its sentimental melodies, dynamic percussion, and stories of youth and nostalgia. The folk-rockers will be performing at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on April 6. Doors open at 7 p.m.; tickets are $12-$15.
