New Jersey used to be a budding place of music venues supporting the locals and the signed alike. Now these venues are on the verge of extinction. The Loft in New Brunswick is working to change that by throwing a show to benefit The Sound Station, which burned down this past January. This is one in an ongoing series of shows to benefit the record store in Westfield, which became a gathering place and show spot for local musicians and collectors alike. Join The Grains, Birthwater, The Live! and Marvin Berry And The New Sound on April 6 at The Loft in New Brunswick for the Sound Station Benefit. The show starts at 7 p.m., $5 admission. Check the Facebook events page for more info and to see how you can donate to help The Sound Station get back to where they belong.
