The Revival Tour: American Eye-Opener

At a glance, the featured artists of The Revival Tour—Dan Andriano, Chuck Ragan, Tommy Gabel, Cory Branan, and Nathaniel Rateliff—are not where you would expect them to be. Originally, most of them are punk veterans from bands like Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, and Hot Water Music. Here they are behind acoustic instruments and in front of a crowd that has come to hear folk music. Appropriately titled, The Revival Tour is aiming to breathe life into traditional Americana, a genre that is not as far-gone as one might assume. The Revival Tour makes stops in this area for a quaint performance on March 28 at the Trocadero Theatre and at the Bowery Ballroom on March 30.
