Shanren: Mountain Music

Hailing from the secluded southern region of China, Shanren are a folk group with an uncommon style. Shanren, which means “mountain men,” is a fitting name for the band because several of the songs that they perform are customary Chinese folk songs. They produce original music as well, but continue to incorporate traditional Chinese instruments. On March 20, Shanren will be live at The Saint in Asbury Park as part of their North American debut tour. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15.
