John Flansburgh and John Linnell of They Might Be Giants met as teenagers but did not form a band until after college. Since then, TMBG has recruited three other band members, become irrefutably successful, and been through some tough times, including the robbery of Flansburgh’s apartment and Linnell’s biking accident. The group has contributed greatly to the alternative rock scene and has even produced a children’s album, No! They will be playing at Terminal 5, in New York, on March 10. Doors open at 7 p.m.; tickets are $26.50 in advance and $30 at the door.
